Our two newest saints, Pope John and Pope John Paul, were both very different individuals. Yet, they both shared a particular love for the poor and a strong belief in the dignity of every person. Now Pope Francis has driven home the message that the church must serve the poor through the example of his own remarkable actions. Closer to home, The Catholic Community Foundation carries out this wonderful message by giving grants to organizations who feed and care for the poor and disadvantaged within our own community. In this way, we help the church to become truly more inclusive.
